...and things have been busy. First off, The Druid's Son is now showing as "in stock" on amazon.com, and has three reviews from early readers. Take a look!
Saturday I spent in Cheyenne at the SCA's Hunter's Feast - great food as usual, and no snow this year. It was good to see old friends, and I had fun performing a brief extraction from the next Storyteller book in the bardic competition. All told, an enjoyable day. Sunday and yesterday went in miscellaneous activities, including book bins and updating inventory. Our next merchant event will be the SCA's Caerthe 12th Night January 5th.
I've spent some time looking at the manuscript to date of the next book, and contemplating philosophical issues, e.g. how closely to Togi's experiences have to match what Gwernin hears as stories 500 years later? Should I even try to make things match up in any detail? And what will readers of the two series think if they don't?
More pictures next time...

Still here...
Two weeks since posting... where does the time go? Not into the new book, unfortunately, but I'm planning on getting back to it soon now the holiday distractions are over.
In the meantime, the Colorado Welsh Society is celebrating St. Dwynwyn's Day this coming Saturday. Also, on February 11, I'll be doing a book reading and signing at Spiritwise on South Broadway. Stand by for more details...

Monday...
A hot weekend, and no break so far, but at least when it's hot in Colorado it's also dry - plus it usually cools off nicely at night. I got up early today to get part of the lawn mowed before the day warmed up - front yard's done, anyway. Might be able to finish it tonight.
I've been posting a bit about my research for The Druid's Son on my LibraryThing thread, and I'm also doing a giveaway of a copy of Storyteller there.
Another garden picture from last week's series - too hot to go out and take more right now:

Wednesday...
It's been suggested to me more than once that when I appear somewhere (like the Elizabeth Celtic Festival this past weekend) doing storytelling for the Colorado Welsh Society, I should have a display poster about my books for the booth. So yesterday I finally got motivated, and did one:

The photo at the top is one I took last August in the Black Mountains.
Now back to writing...

Monday...
Lots of seasonal chores today - wrapping presents, going to the post office, and so forth. Saturday night we celebrated Yule with ADF in a rather low-key ceremony; so, feeling the need of more ritual, I will be celebrating the Solstice again myself tonight - and hopefully observing the Lunar Eclipse as well. So far the weather looks good...
After the first of the year I'll have a couple of public appearances: a book reading/signing (date still to be arranged) with a local venue, and on January 22nd some storytelling as part of the Colorado Welsh Society's St. Dwynwyn's Day. More on both of these later.
Still looking like a brown Christmas in Denver, although the mountains have been getting heavy snow.

...and Wednesday...
Running late on my blogging today, partly because I was dealing with a promotional giveaway of Storyteller e-books on LibraryThing. Smashwords is great for this - it lets me generate a coupon code for anything up to 100% off on a given book, which I can then email to the contest winners along with the url for the book page. Much simpler than sending out a lot of pdfs, and certainly more cost-effective than giving away physical books.
On to today's picture: a much-photographed burial chamber from the limestone terrain called The Burren in western Ireland. I'll get the name on it latter today, but I wanted to put the picture up now.

Hoping to get a little more writing done at the weekend.
