Friday...

Spring weather has arrived in force, and as is common with Denver, it's going from too cold to too hot by the end of next week. There'll be more snow before summer arrives, but in the meantime it's a welcome break, and a chance for more of the ground to thaw in the garden...

Thursday...

Another update on the ogam page with pictures of a set I made today. In the meantime, spring has arrived in the coldframe...

Still here...

The weather's been variable lately - mild sunny weather last week, then this:

...followed by a mild sunny weekend which melted most of the new snow. Spring in the Rockies.

I've been making more ogam sets lately. It gives me a nice excuse to be outside on sunny days, when my gardening instincts are stirring but the ground's still frozen. Spring is starting in the cold frame, though:

Soon it will be time to start tomato seeds...

Monday...

Busy reading and researching, also making more ogam sets. A little fresh snow this morning, but now it's sunny and windy. Spring in the cold frame:

But still winter in the garden:

That's all for now...

Friday...

I was busy Wednesday making an ogam set for a charity auction. I started making these last month when I needed a set myself and have carried on because I enjoy it. There seems to be a local market, and though they'll never be much of a money-maker due to the time it takes me to make one (about 5 hours all told), it's a pleasant craft. I'll have to do a photo series on the process presently like I did for the wire rings.

Finally uploaded some snow pictures from last week's storm. Would you believe there are a yard card and several chairs against the fence?

Wednesday...

Spent a lot of the last few days shoveling snow. We got 17 inches between Thursday evening and midday Saturday, then another 3 inches Monday night. Not my idea of fun! It set a new record for February.
